Today the sky was a perfect blue, but everything in the world looked pink. I got a library card, walked all the way through Williamsburg and across the bridge to Manhattan (thanks L train!), went to the market and bought the last of the season's tomatoes and the first of the seasons pumpkins. Then to the Strand, where I bought a new cookbook and vintage design books from the 70s. I'm glad to have spent the weekend outside and with friends and more actively than I usually do. Unfortunately, today's folly means tomorrow will be spent in the library. All good things must come to and end.
